HIRAM, OHIO — Hiram College senior basketball player Chris Roberts (Cleveland/Kennedy) has been invited to play in the third annual Jump25.com Ohio College All-Star Classic that will be played on Sunday, Apr. 17 in Columbus.
The event will feature three all-star games at the high school, small college and division I college levels with players from schools all across Ohio. Roberts will be part of a roster that will feature athletes at the Division II, III and NAIA levels. He is also one of several players from around the North Coast Athletic Conference that include representatives from The College of Wooster, Kenyon College and Wittenberg University.
Roberts ended a standout four-year playing career this past winter in which he earned his third All-NCAC selection and a second-straight second-team honor. As a senior, he led the team in scoring with 266 points (10.6 points per game) and shot 38.2 percent (83-of-217) from the floor. Roberts also led the team in free-throws made (80), free-throw attempts (107) and his 74.8 free-throw percentage also ranked amongst the team leaders. In addition, he recorded 79 rebounds (3.2 rebounds per game), 32 assists and 20 steals.
For his career, Chris is the 23rd player in program history to score 1,000 points and ranks 14th overall with 1,188 points in 87 games. He ranks in the program’s top-ten list in several statistical categories and ends his career with an impressive 43.7 lifetime shooting percentage (396-of-906), including 30.7 percent (63-of-205) from three-point range and 72.9 percent (33-of-457) at the charity stripe. Chris also completes an impressive playing career with 387 rebounds (4.4 rpg.), 159 assists, 115 steals and 19 blocked shots.
The All-Star game will take place on Sunday, Apr. 17 at Upper Arlington High School in Columbus. The small college game is scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m. and admission for the day is $5. For more information about the event, please click here.
