When Hiram fans step foot in Price Gymnasium this fall or winter, they will notice some major changes to the facility.
Through generous donations, Price Gymnasium, which was built in 1958, now has a brand new look.
Fans will also see new bleachers for spectators. The bleachers now pull out at the very simple click of a button and feature individual seats. Seating for the gym will still be 2,000. The new bleachers were funded through donations from Robert Siedle, Todd and Faith Morris, Robert Rosenthal and Marty Claugue.
Lastly, fans will notice an improved sound system funded through the generosity of an anonymous donor. With installation set to begin Tuesday, September 20, speakers will now be placed around the facility, giving sound more flow and bring a better atmosphere.
“We cannot thank our donors enough for all the upgrades in Price Gymnasium,” said Director of Athletics Ellen Dempsey. “Our goal is to give the student-athletes and fans the best experience possible and these additions have helped us make a great stride forward.”
