Physics students Passang Dorji (Thimpu , Bhutan) and Shishir Adhikari (Kathmandu, Nepal), Laura Van Wormer, professor of physics, and Mark Taylor, associate professor of physics, recently attended the spring meeting of the Ohio section of the American Physical Society at Youngstown State University. Physicists from Ohio and surrounding states attended the meeting that included presentations on diverse topics ranging from black holes to global warming. Dorji presented a poster on his senior seminar research titled, “Conformation and collapse of a square-well chain in a square-well solvent” and Taylor gave a talk on his recent research titled, “Solvation potentials for polymers in solution.”
