Alumni Weekend 2014 was one for the record books. More than 900 people returned to Hiram Hill to celebrate and reunite, June 13-15, 2014, setting a new record.
But that wasn’t the only record broken. The Class of 1964, who five years ago began planning their 50-year reunion, broke the record for total number of attendees at a 50-year reunion and presented the largest class gift ever made to the College: $5 million in lifetime giving.
At the All-Alumni Reception on June 14, several members of the Class of 1964 (pictured below, bottom right) received the President’s Award for their extraordinary commitment to Hiram College:
- Marty Clague
- Ron Kilpatrick
- Rosie Kilpatrick
- Nick Lederer
- Fred Martin
- Tom Reuschling
- Bruce Taylor
- Phil Warburton
- Karen Wierwille Martin
The following alumni were also recognized with alumni awards:
- Alumni Volunteer Award: Christopher Faiver ’69 (not pictured)
- Alumni Achievement Award: Douglas Grimm ’84 (top right)
- Lifelong Leadership Award: Patricia (Hutchins) Murphy ’74 (top left)
- Recent Graduate Service to Humanity Award: Michael Brickner ’04 (bottom left)
President-Elect Lori Varlotta joined retiring President Tom Chema to express appreciation to the hundreds of alumni who returned for the weekend.
