The Hiram College men’s lacrosse team fell to No. 6-ranked Ohio Wesleyan by a 30-1 score on Saturday afternoon.

The Terriers drop to 2-6 on the season and 0-3 in NCAC play, while the Battling Bishops remain perfect at 9-0, 3-0.

Hiram’s lone goal of the contest came with 1:04 remaining in the game, when junior Chris Lekan(North Olmsted/Holy Name) scored on a man-up opportunity. He now has five goals on the season.

OWU scored eight goals in the first quarter and added 11 more in the second to take control of the game.

Junior goalie Sawyer Lott (Sunbury/Big Walnut) made 11 saves in goal for Hiram. He also scooped up a team-high five ground balls and caused two turnovers.

Junior Greg Summers (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Mary’s) fired a team-best three shots for Hiram.

Hiram will play next on Tuesday, when it hosts No. 17 Denison in game that begins at 7 p.m.
