Hiram (1-5, 1-2 NCAC) started the game with a 6-0 scoring run, but Ohio Wesleyan (7-2, 3-1 NCAC) came right back by outscoring the Terriers, 12-2, to take a 12-8 lead at the 13:11 minute mark.  The Battling Bishops never trailed in the period again and led by as many as eight points on two occasions, including a 36-28 advantage with 1:38 left in the half.  Hiram scored the final points of the half on a three-pointer by senior All-NCAC guard Aaron Stefanov(Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) to narrow the gap to 36-31 at the intermission.

OWU began the second half with a basket to go up by seven points, before another triple by Stefanov sparked an 8-2 run to get the Terriers to within a point, 40-39, with 18:01 to go.  Trailing by four points, 46-42, at the 13:45 mark, the Terriers outscored the Bishops, 18-5, over the next 8:54 that ended in a three-pointer by senior guard Josh Edmondson(Euclid/Twinsburg) giving Hiram their largest lead of the game of nine points, 60-51, with 4:51 to play.  OWU chipped away at the Hiram lead and eventually tied the game at 62-62 with 1:24 left.  Neither team could score the game-winner in the final minute-and-a-half, sending the game into overtime.
