Hiram College

Three Hiram College mathematics students faired well at the Consortium for Mathematics and its Application’s Mathematical Contest in Modeling. Students Passang Dorji, Tajii Tsutsui, and Tsagay worked as a team for over three days to solve a problem dealing with the melting of the polar icecap.

The Hiram team was among 1100 other teams from multiple countries to receive the “Meritorious” designation – the second highest honor. Other Ohio institutions that participated were Xavier, Dayton, Wooster, Youngstown State, Kenyon, and Miami.
