The Friends of the Library and the Hiram College Library present The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History’s “Looking at Lincoln: Political Cartoons from the Civil War Era.”

The exhibit will be on display from September 17 through October 11, 2010; the opening event is Friday, September 17, 2010, at 3 p.m., in the reference area on the first floor of the library.

Dr. Douglas Brattebo will give a talk, “‘If I were two-faced, would I be wearing this one?’: Lincoln and His Detractors.” Refreshments will be served.

There will also be a presentation event on Saturday, September 25, 2010 11 a.m., in the Schneider Room on the first floor of the library. Dr. Jon Gordon will give a talk titled “Uncle Sam I Am.” Refreshments will be served.
