How are summer courses reported on my transcript?
Summer courses will appear on your transcript just like your fall and spring classes. They will be listed under the “Summer 2011” term. Hiram students should know that summer courses count towards fulfilling degree requirements, and grades will also affect your grade point average.
What is tuition for Hiram’s summer school?
Tuition is $390 per credit hour. There is a summer comprehensive fee of $30.
What financial aid is available for summer session?
Because financial aid eligibility is specific to the individual, it isn’t possible to provide a simple answer. However, students should know that summer financial aid is limited to federal financial aid and as a general rule, students must be enrolled at least half-time (6 semester hours for undergraduates, 4 semester hours for graduates). Students interested in summer financial aid should have a valid FAFSA on file for both the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 academic year and complete the Summer 2011 Financial Aid Application, available online at www.hiram.edu/finaid/financialaiddocuments.html, as well as in Financial Aid Office. Please contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions you may have at 330.569.5107 or via email at email@example.com.
How will I be billed for summer courses?
Bills are issued approximately one month prior to the start of the term. Students may pay their bills in a variety of ways, including online.
Is summer housing available?
Yes. Contact the Residential Education Office for more information at 330.569.5232.
Are there other requirements associated with enrolling in Hiram’s summer school?
Summer school students must be in good disciplinary standing.
