Hiram College is among the top tier of national liberal arts colleges, according to U.S. News and World Report’s 2015 college rankings.

This is the 30th year U.S. News and World Report has published its rankings of national universities, national liberal arts colleges and regional colleges and universities. Hiram ranked #148 in the national liberal arts category, improving from last year’s ranking of #156. U.S. News and World Report collected data on 1,800 institutions in determining the rankings for all categories. The publication uses the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate academic reputation
  • Retention
  • Faculty resources
  • Student selectivity
  • Financial resources
  • Graduation rate performance

Hiram College was also ranked #111 out of #236 (for national liberal arts colleges) in the publication’s high school guidance counselor rankings. Learn about the methodology behind these rankings.

Last month, Hiram College was ranked Ohio’s “best bang for the buck” in the liberal arts, according to Washington Monthly.
