The Hiram College Choir and several Hiram alumni are set to perform with the West Shore Choral on Sunday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Magnificat Center for the Performing Arts (20770 Hilliard Blvd., Rocky River, Ohio 44116)

The West Shore Choral’s 40th anniversary spring concert will feature Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 2, Lobgesang, with full professional orchestra, and special guests, the Hiram College Choir.

Composed in 1840 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Johannes Gutenberg’s movable type printing press, the Lobgesang celebrates the spread of literacy made possible by Gutenberg’s invention.
