OWU took the lead near the midway point of the third quarter with Espinosa’s fourth TD toss of the game at the 7:58 minute mark.  But the Bishops would again fail to convert the extra point attempt, making the score 27-21.  Hiram later made it a one-possession game with a 33-yard field goal by sophomore Luke Russo (Strongsville/Bedford Chanel) narrowing the deficit to 27-24.  OWU then took control with a pair of TD to end the quarter with a 80-yard TD strike and a three-yard TD run to extend the lead to 40-24 heading into the fourth quarter.
