The Center for Literature and Medicine at Hiram College will present a film screening and discussion of “FIXED: The Science/Fiction of Human Enhancement,” at 6:30 p.m. on April 30, 2014, in the Kennedy Center Ballroom.
Regan Brashear, the film’s director, will lead the discussion following the screening.
Told through the perspectives of five people: a scientist, journalist, disability justice educator, bionics engineer and exoskeleton test pilot, “FIXED” questions the commonly held beliefs about disability and normalcy. The documentary explores the implications of emerging human enhancement technologies for the future of humanity.
