“Daggers, Divas, Deceit and Delight” will spark the stage as Hiram College vocal students perform songs and scenes from a variety of operas and musicals on Wednesday, April 6 at the Frohring Performing Arts Theater. The Hiram College Chamber and Community Singers will then take the spotlight on Friday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. when they perform John Rutter’s “Requiem” with the Newark-Granville Symphony at Hiram’s Hayden Auditorium.

“It is a beautiful work that is moving and accessible to all,” says Dawn Sonntag, D.M.A., associate professor of music and chair of Hiram’s Music Department.

The hour-long concert will feature Gabriel Faure’s “Cantique de Jean Racine” and the “Andantino” from Leon Boellman’s Second Suite for Organ –op. 27.

Admission is free for both performances and early arrival is suggested due to limited seating.
