Select individuals of the Hiram College cross country teams competed at the unscored College of Wooster Twilight 5k Challenge in Wooster.
Leading the Terrier women was freshman Ashley Dillon (Orwell/Grand Valley) who ran a time of 22:31.00 and placed 28th overall of 32 runners. Joing Dillon, was sophomorePatricia Bohls (Macedonia) and junior Alexis Alvarado (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) who posted marks of 24:14.00 and 32:58.00 respectively.
For the men, the top overall time was turned in by freshman Matthew Walker (Stow) who completed the 5k course in a time of 17:02.00 and placed 17th overall out of 37 runners. One other runner competed for Hiram in junior Tomoyuki Fujimoto (Mino, Japan) who finished with a mark of 18:35.00.
The Hiram cross country teams will next compete at the annual NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet on Saturday, Nov. 10. Anderson (Ind.) University will serve as host for this year’s regional meet with the first race set to begin at 11 a.m. in Anderson, Ind.
