Hiram College’s 163rd Commencement will take place at 2 p.m. on May 11, 2013, at Charles A. Henry Field. James Leach, chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities will give the Commencement address.

In addition to the 2 p.m. ceremony, the following events will take place on Commencement Day:

  • 8:00 a.m. Phi Beta Kappa Breakfast (Kennedy Center Dix Dining Room) – by invitation only
  • 8:45 a.m. Phi Beta Kappa Induction Ceremony (Kennedy Center Dix Dining Room) – by invitation only
  • 9:00 a.m. Pinning Ceremony for graduating nursing students (Hiram Christian Church)
  • 10:30 a.m. Baccalaureate (Hiram Christian Church)
  • 10:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Brunch Reception (HC Dining Hall)
  • 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Family Activities & Book Store Open House (Kennedy Center)
  • 12:15 p.m. Class Picture (Bates Hall steps)
  • 12:45 p.m. Military Commissioning Ceremony (Campus Green)
  • 1:15 p.m. Student Line up (Martin Field House)
  • 2:00 p.m. Commencement – no tickets required (Charles A. Henry Field, simulcast location Price Gym, & live video streaming at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/hiram-commencement-2013)
  • 3:30 p.m. Post-Commencement Reception (Martin Field House)
