Hiram College will recognize Coming Out Week from Oct. 28 through Nov. 1. Several events are planned to inspire unity and raise awareness about all sexual orientations. Because National Coming Out Day (Oct. 11) fell during Fall Break, students chose this week to raise awareness.
Monday, Oct. 28
Tie-Dye Pride, 9 p.m., Kennedy Center basement. Bring white gear to tie-dye while sharing coming out stories and reasons for supporting the LGBT community. Snacks will be available.
Tuesday, Oct. 29
Kiss-In, noon, Dining Hall.
Die-In, 3:45 p.m., Hinsdale Arch. Learn more about the Die-In.
Wednesday, Oct. 30
Dress the Opposite Gender Day, all day.
Thursday, Oct. 31
PRYSM Meeting, 8:30 p.m., Bowler Hall fourth floor. Movie night to follow.
Friday, Nov. 1
Out and Proud Party, 11 p.m.-2 a.m., Kennedy Center basement.
