“Tuscany Arts,” an arts and culture blog based out of Florence, Italy, is featuring Associate Professor of Art, Christopher Ryan in an interview conducted by art historian Alexandra Korey. The interview focuses on how the narrative floor designs in the cathedral in Siena, Italy is a valuable source and inspiration both visually and conceptually for Ryan. The article includes a discussion of the layers of “contrast” found in Tuscany, Ryan’s investigative use of visual archaeology and a number of pictures of Ryan’s artwork.
