sam-thomas-authorThe Hiram College Friends of the Library will host author Sam Thomas for a talk and book signing at 7 p.m. on April 24, 2014, in the Library’s Pritchard Room.

He will present the talk: “From History to Mystery: or, How to Tell the Truth Even When You are Lying.”

Thomas has authored “The Midwife’s Tale” (2013), “The Harlot’s Tale” (2014) and “Creating Communities in Restoration England: Parish and Congregation in Oliver Heywood’s Halifax” (2011).

He earned his Ph.D. in history (with a focus on Reformation England) from Washington University in St. Louis in 2003. He currently teaches at the University School in Shaker Heights.
