B-Side CafeThe B-side Cafe is a student operated, non-profit coffee shop serving the students of Hiram's campus Sunday through Thursday evenings during the school year in Whitcomb Hall. The B-Side provides a relaxed atmosphere for students to study, play games, listen to music and talk to friends. Each semester the B-side holds open mic night and a poetry slam. These events provide an opportunity for Hiram students to share their talents with the community. |

Circle KPurpose: To complete community service, with a focus on projects for kids Hiram College Circle K, a collegiate community service organization sponsored by Kiwanis International, is concentrated in the areas of leadership and personal development. There are three key ideals Circle K is proud to uphold: service, fellowship and leadership. Fashion Show CommitteePurpose: The purpose of the fashion show committee is to raise awareness about different organizations geared to helping a specific cause. For instance we want to spread awareness about such organizations that help youth, women, men, and even environmental causes. This year the cause is jeans for teens, which is a non-profit organization for youth who are less fortunate and our committee will donate clothes that we receive during the fashion show to homeless shelters and battered women shelters. This committee wants to provide an event that is versatile and represents the leadership and eagerness that students have to create a successful fashion show for the whole Hiram Community. G-Free (Gluten Free Awareness)Purpose: To unite the students who suffer from gluten intolerance/celiacs disease. We want to work on helping each other stay healthy both mentally and physically. To support one another in learning how to make good meal choices and stay strong with tempted by foods we cannot eat. This will be a way for us to share recipes and raise awareness of our struggle on campus. We hope to shade light on others who suffer from the same problem, but are undiagnosed. Presence and Respect for Youth Sexual Minorities (PRYSM)Purpose: PRYSM aims to create a visible GLBTQ presence on Hiram’s campus through events and other programming, to promote the equality and acceptance of GLBTQ individuals, and to create a community of allies on campus, allowing members to discuss our mutual interest in GLBTQ issues in a safe, comfortable setting. Presence and Respect for Youth Sexual Minorities (PRYSM) represents the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Trans and Allied community on campus. Relay For LifeRelay For Life is the organization associated with putting on Hiram's Relay For Life event each spring. Affiliated with the American Cancer Society, Relay For Life is a 24-hour walk/run event that encourages participants to fight back against cancer. Theatre GuildPurpose: Theatre Guild is a place for lovers of theatre, whether you love to participate on stage or backstage, or if you’re more of an audience member. We seek to provide more small opportunities to perform on campus, as well as for others to see what we’re doing, or to see shows nearby. Among many activities such as Masquerades, Northeastern Ohio Improv Competition (NOIC) and play excursions, the Theatre Guild is most well-known for its Blitz Theatre - a 24-hour whirlwind of theatrical activity and performance. Purpose: IF work towards promoting understanding and awareness amongst the culturally diverse students of Hiram College. As the largest club on campus, we organize some of the biggest events, including the intercultural dinner and talent show, which provides students with an opportunity to interact with people from various backgrounds.
The Stone Soup Co-op is an alternate meal plan for vegetarians, vegans and those with special dietary needs. Meat-eaters are welcome as well, though no meat is allowed in the co-op. Members are responsible for the entire operation including cooking and cleaning up from meals and ordering the food. The co-op is located near Fenton lounge in Booth and Centennial Hall.
