What is my username for Sakai?
Sakai user names are the same as your Hiramnet user name. So if your Hiram email address is doedj@hiram.edu, then your Sakai user name is doedj.
What is my password for Sakai?
Initial passwords are the same as your user name. If your user name is doedj, then your initial password is also doedj.
How do I change my password?
Once you are logged in, change your password with the following steps.
1. Click on My Workspace, just under the Sakai logo,
2. Click Account, on the left hand side of the page.
3. Click Modify
4. Type your new password twice, and
5. Click Save.
What is a valid Sakai password?
Any combination of alpha-numeric characters is a valid Sakai password. You should select a password that is secure, though.
What is a secure password?
A secure password is one that
- cannot be found in a dictionary
- does not have words within it that can be found in a dictionary
- has a mixture of upper and lower case characters
- has both letters and numbers
What is the URL for Sakai from off-campus?
Sakai can be reached at https://sakai.hiram.edu, from both on- and off-campus.
