The Heebie-Jeebies

some consider the heebie-jeebies
fascinating,
pointing out the funnels
they construct of web and leaves.
even
quite beautiful,
with their draglines
creating glistening strands
so delicate
you can see them
if
you remember to look.
their trails glint in the morning
when your gaze meets a
muscle tree,
silk from their abdomens
weaving its way daintily
up the tree’s sinewy arms.
feel their work on your legs
or your face,
the slimmest ghost of a net.
a pure vision music with dew.
what they catch is the
balance they keep,
all the other
heebie-jeebies
captured by the
daunting artists of
tapestry.
