Emergency Phones/Campus Escort
There are twelve (12) exterior emergency phones directly linked to
the Hiram Police department. The phones
may either be yellow or blue and have a light directly overhead or are placed in well lit areas. These phones can be used in case of an emergency, or
to request an escort from your vehicle.
Community members should be familiar with the locations of these
phones. They are:
- #1 In front of the Fisher All-Faith Chapel and Meeting House
- #2 In front of Bowler Hall
- #3 In front of Booth Hall
- #4 Near the Flag Pole, in the middle of "The Campus Green"
- #5 Near the Inn - in front of fountain
- #6 Terrier Drive, directly between Price Gym and the Kennedy Center
- #7 In the 305 Coleman Parking Lot
- #8 Middle, Eastside of track (Football Field)
- #9 Between the Stadium Lot and Tennis Court Lot
- #10 In Martin Commons - in front of Hurd Garden
- #11Sidewalk betweento Gelbke Art and S.R. 700
- #12 Main Entrance at Dining Center
Time and Weather permitting, Campus Safety Escorts in the form of a walking partner or a ride in the Campus Safety vehicle are available from 6:00pm until 4:00am every day, escorts are currently not available during day time hours. For the safety escort service, please call (330) 469-4119 or contact the police at (330) 569-5414. If you do not have a cell phone, you may use the Emergency Phones located around campus. Any emergency phone with an “information” button will connect you to Campus Safety, if not, the “Help” button may be used for safety escort purposes.
