Frequently Asked Questions
Should my transcript be sent to me or directly to a third party?
Typically, transcripts should be mailed directly from the Hiram College Registrar's Office to the intended recipient; many recipients will not accept one that has passed through other hands. However, transcripts where the seal has not been broken may be accepted as official at the discretion of the receiving party.
My name changed after I left Hiram; what name will appear on my transcript?
Your transcript will be forwarded with the name you had while you attended Hiram. If that has changed, notify the recipient of the name your transcript will be arriving under.
Will you notify me that my transcript request has been mailed?
We do not follow up to determine if transcripts were received by the intended recipient; however, if you discover the transcripts were never received, please contact us.
Does Hiram send/receive transcripts electronically?
Hiram College does not currently participate in programs, such as SPEEDE/EXPRESS, to send and receive official transcripts electronically.
