Spring 2008 Semester Bill Information for Traditional Students
The Spring 2008 semester bill for traditional students must be paid in full or otherwise taken care of by December 7, 2007. For assistance calculating the balance on your student account or more information on options Hiram offers to pay your Spring 2008 balance, please contact the Student Accounts Office at 330-569-5114. After an internal review period, students who are registered for classes and have signed up for a residence hall room whose student accounts are not in a paid status, by the published semester payment deadlines, will have their class schedules cancelled and their residence hall assignments cancelled for the term. Should these students wish to re-register for courses, they will be assessed a $100 Late Payment Fee.
If you missed the fall deadline for Insurance waivers, you can turn in an insurance waiver for spring semester. A portion of the yearly insurance cost will be credited to your student account. You must have another source of insurance, and the waiver cards are available in the Student Accounts Office. Waiver due date is Dec. 7, 2007. No waivers will be accepted after that date.

Spring 2008 Refund Policy for Weekend College Students
Notification of withdrawal must be received by the Weekend College Office in order for a student to receive a tuition refund. The amount of refund is based on whether or not you are dropping a course or completely withdrawing from the semester (12 week and 3 week sessions). Ceasing to attend a class, never attending, or notifying an instructor does not constitute official withdrawal from a course(s). Notification of withdrawal must be made to the Weekend College Office for a student to receive a refund or have an adjustment made on a transcript. Any and all tuition refunds are based upon the date that a student "officially" withdraws.

Hiram College Study Abroad Refund Policy Fall
Study Abroad programs require extensive, detailed advanced planning on part of faculty and the Study Abroad Office. Because commitments for flights, hotels, cooperating agencies and organizations are frequently done months in advance of the trip, it is essential that students be aware of the financial commitments when signing up for a program. Likewise, the College is sensitive to extenuating and unforeseen circumstances that arise in students lives that could make it impossible for a student to meet the travel commitment. Thus, the College has established a policy whereby both the College and committed students incur the least financial penalty for change of plans. The attached policy was approved and effective as of June 1, 2005.
