Fall 12 Week Information

Eligibility:

All matriculating students, faculty and staff of Hiram College may compete in the intramural programs at the College. The following general guidelines apply for all competitions:

  • No more than 50% of any intramural team may consist of athletes from corresponding intercollegiate/club sports. For example, only 3 intercollegiate/club team members can compete on the same IM open volleyball team, likewise, only 5 softball/ baseball team members may compete on the same IM softball team. The active intercollegiate or club team roster after the final cut or at the time of the first competition in a sport is used to determine intramural eligibility for that academic year.
  • An individual may represent only one team in any given sport.

10 vs. 10 Co-ed Kickball

  • Maximum of 8 teams; teams accepted on a first come first serve basis for this 4 week league. Play runs from September 13th through October 6th. Games will be played between 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm Monday and Wednesday. (Maximum number on roster is 18)
  • Registration deadline: Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 1:00 pm
  • Mandatory Captain's Meeting: Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 4:30 pm in the Fieldhouse

8 vs. 8 Co-ed Open Ultimate Frisbee

  • Maximum of 8 teams; teams accepted on a first come first serve basis for this 4 week league. Play runs from October 13th through November 3rd. Games will be played between 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm at Centennial Park on Monday and Wednesday. (Maximum # on roster is 15)
  • Registration deadline: Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 1:00 pm
  • Mandatory Captain's Meeting: Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 4:30 pm in the Fieldhouse

10 vs. 10 Men's or Women's Slow Pitch Softball

  • Maximum of 4 teams; teams accepted on a first come first serve basis for this 4 week league. Play runs from October 5th through October 28th. Games will be played between 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm at Centennial Park on Monday and Wednesday. (Maximum # on roster is 15)
  • Registration deadline: Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 1:00 pm
  • Mandatory Captain's Meeting: Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 4:30 pm in the Fieldhouse

6 vs. 6 Co-ed Colloquium Volleyball

  • Maximum of 8 teams; teams accepted on a first come first serve basis for this 3 week league. Play runs from November 1st through November 17th. Games will be played between 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday. (Maximum # on roster is 15. Professors and TA's welcome to play.)
  • Registration deadline: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 1:00 pm
  • Mandatory Captain's Meeting: Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 4:30 pm in the Fieldhouse

6 vs. 6 Co-ed Volleyball

  • Maximum of 8 teams; teams accepted on a first come first serve basis for this 3 week league. Play runs from November 2nd through November 18th. Games will be played between 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. (Maximum # on roster is 12)
  • Registration deadline: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 1:00 pm
  • Mandatory Captain's Meeting: Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 4:30 pm in the Fieldhouse

Fall Three Week Tournaments

4 vs. 4 Co-ed Arena Flag Football Tournament

  • This tournament will have a seeding round and a final single elimination round. Play will be Monday-Thursday, December 6th through the 9th. Maximum of 8 teams; teams accepted on a first come first serve basis. (Maximum # on roster is 8)
  • Registration deadline: Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 1:00 pm
  • Mandatory Captain's Meeting: Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 4:30 pm in the Fieldhouse
