Intramurals, Club Sports, and Recreation
Hiram offers a comprehensive Intramural and Club Sports program designed to enrich the quality of life for the students, faculty, and staff of the College by providing a broad program of sports and fitness activities for both men and women of all ability levels.
Since students entering the college setting today are more health and fitness conscious than ever before, the Departments of Athletics, Exercise/Sport Science, and Recreation aim to accommodate this active participation by providing a wide variety of recreational activities. Intramural offerings include flag football, ultimate frsibee, floor hockey, basketball, volleyball, and softball.
The Club Sport Program is designed to serve individual interests in different sports and recreational activities. The activities that the club sport teams provide range from the very competitive, which travel and play intercollegiately, to the recreational and instructional, which conduct activities such as basic skill instruction. Sailing, women’s rugby, men’s volleyball, and martial arts clubs all actively participate in the College’s athletic scene.
Recreational use of all athletic facilities is encouraged to all those interested in participation in a less formal fashion.
