Building Descriptions for Miller, Whitcomb, Bowler and Henry

 
Miller Hall
Welcome to Miller Hall! Here is what we have to offer. Miller is a great option for students who enjoy a quieter environment, but also want to be a part of a great community. There are three floors in this 150-person residence hall with a central lounge on each floor. Second Miller is co-ed, third floor is co-ed and is a first year student floor, and fourth Miller is co-ed. The main lounge in Miller features a fireplace and a television. The area office and computer lab are located on first Miller as well.  One of the best things about Miller is that it is right above Miller Dining hall. Quiet hours are in effect in Miller 24 hours a day. Each room contains a bed, desk, dresser, and Ethernet port per person.  There is also a closet and phone jack in each room.

Whitcomb Hall
Step on into Whitcomb Hall! It’s a great place to be. Whitcomb houses 130 students on three floors. The second floor is co-ed, the third floor is all male, and the fourth floor is first year, co-ed. All of the rooms are doubles in Whitcomb, and each floor has a kitchenette with a sizeable study lounge. On the first floor there is also a study lounge with a working fireplace, piano, and study tables. Located below Whitcomb is the B-Side Café. This is a great place for students to listen to slam poetry and other performers, study, and socialize. Quiet hours are in effect in Whitcomb from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Each room contains a bed, desk, dresser, and Ethernet port per person.  There is also a closet and phone jack in each room.

Bowler Hall
Welcome to Bowler Hall! Bowler has a lot to offer to upper-class students. Built in 1878, Bowler is the oldest residence hall at Hiram. The building houses 56 students who must apply to live here. Students who live in Bowler have an interest in international/ global programming. The international and American students selected to live in Bowler are pursuing opportunities to learn about different cultures by interacting with their peers. Bowler's comfortable layout features two parlors on the first floor, air conditioning, two suites and a full porch. There is also a piano in one parlor and a television in the other. Quiet hours are in effect in Whitcomb from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Bowler is also dry during the week. Each room contains a loft-able bed, desk, dresser, and Ethernet port per person.  There is also a closet and phone jack in each room.

Henry Hall
Welcome to Henry Hall! Henry is a wonderful option for students who enjoy a quieter environment, but still want to be part of a great community. Henry Hall houses 85 students on two floors. Second floor is all male and third floor is all female. There is a central lounge on each floor and also a main lounge on the first floor that is shared by the students. In the main lounge there is also a working fireplace, piano and television. Quiet hours are in effect in Henry 24 hours a day, and Henry is a dry building. Each room contains a bed, desk, dresser, and Ethernet port per person.  There is also a closet and phone jack in each room.
