About Us

The Sophomore Program is a one-credit student development course to facilitate self-awareness, increase exposure to career/academic opportunities, and teach the importance of intentional planning to sophomore students.

The program was developed to address two important topics:

  • The special student development needs of sophomores including clarifying identity, deepen relationships, and bring career goals into focus.
  • Provide a critical bridge between first year skills and the junior and senior years when students are expected to understand the power of their liberal arts education and appreciate its relevance to their growth as scholars and citizens.
Through coursework and classroom activities, students will:
  • Plan their education intentionally
  • Reflect on their interests as they pertain to personal, academic and career choices
  • Become aware of the benefits

You won't find any fancy and confusing bells and whistles here, but the publication contains everything you need to get started.
