The Hiram College Sophomore Program
The Sophomore Program at Hiram College is designed to make second-year students' experiences more productive, engaging and meaningful. During their second year, our students:
- Register for a one credit STDV class, the Sophomore Experience
- Engage in reading and activities on the unique challenges facing sophomore students
- Participate in classroom activities to reflect on who they are, while thinking through where they want to be
- Learn to intentionally plan their education, taking advantage of opportunities offering through their Hiram education
- Explore and choose internships, study abroad and research opportunities consistent with their career and academic goals
- Learn how relationships can impact their college experience
- Meet new people and build stronger friendships with classmates
