Requirements for the Religious Studies Major

To satisfy the requirements for a religious studies major, a student must satisfactorily complete a combination of three- and four-semester hour courses totaling a minimum of 34 hours among the various offerings of the department. Insofar as possible, it is desirable that students take the opportunity to work with all members of the religious studies faculty and to do so among 100-, 200-, and 300-level courses.

Transfer students will be required to complete at least twenty (20) semester-hours of coursework in their religious studies major at . Currently enrolled students interested in transferring credits in religion from other institutions must receive written permission from the Dean of the and from the Chair of the Department of Religious Studies. Students majoring in religious studies are encouraged to meet with an advisor from the department.
