Contingency indoor Commencement location requires tickets:
If the advance weather forecast is judged to create safety, comfort or other concerns, a decision will be made Wednesday, May 13th to move Saturday's ceremony inside to Martin Field House which does require tickets due to limited capacity.

Primary outdoor Commencement location does not require tickets:
Hiram College's Commencement Ceremony is planned to be held outdoors at Charles A. Henry Field and this outdoor location does NOT require tickets unless a guest has special seating needs.  If the advanced weather forecast is judged to create a risk, a decision will be made on Wednesday, May 13th to move to the contingency location which does require tickets.  Guests will then need to use the contingency tickets for entry.

All graduates must register for the contingency indoor tickets by May 1, 2015.
These tickets are only needed if the decision is made on Wednesday, May 13th to move the ceremony indoors but they MUST be registered and obtained in advance.  Unfortunately, contingency tickets will NOT be available on Commencement Day.  Each graduate can register for up to four (4) contingency tickets allowing them to invite 4 guests to attend the ceremony in Martin Field House if a weather call on Wednesday drives it indoors.  Registration also includes a 'wish list' number if more than four tickets are desired.  Once registration closes on May 1, any extra tickets will be distributed based upon the wish list requests using a lottery system and distributing up to 2 additional tickets at a time until all extra tickets are gone.  The graduate will be notified by May 8 of any additional tickets they are getting and those will be added to their ticket packets.

A live video simulcast is shown in Price Gym which is near Martin Field House. This provides a seating option for guests who do not have contingency tickets if the ceremony is moved inside to Martin Field House due to the weather call.

Registration and tickets are needed for:

  • Contingency indoor Martin Field House commencement location (must register by May 1, 2015 even though indoor decision is not made until after this date)
  • Professional & Graduate Studies Dinner on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015
  • Various Traditional Senior Week Activities (handled directly through the Office of Campus Involvement)
  • Commencement Day Brunch on Saturday, May 16th
