Although your major is only one part of your life experience, choosing a major that captures your interests and expresses your values is an important part of planning your education in college. These links provide examples of careers commonly related to majors, as well as examples of typical employers, related careers, and employment options.  Other interests and experiences such as serendeptity will affect your career choices. 

Still confused about which major is right for you?

  • Talk to your adviser about majors that would fit your interests.
  • Come to the Major Fair Tuesday, February 9 -4:15 to 6 p.m. in the Coleman Center lobby
  • Why?  to meet faculty reps from all departments, learn more about minors and special programs like the Garfield Society and Entrepreneurship minor
  • Drop into the Career Center to talk to a counselor about the right major for you.
  • Use vocational tests from Learn About Yourself on the menu to get more ideas.
