Alumni Career Resources
Welcome to the career resources for Hiram College alums. I have tried to anticipate some of your questions. Please get in touch with the staff in the Career Center if we have not answered your career questions.
Looking for a job? Most of the jobs we post at Hiram are entry-level positions. If you are looking for a position that is NOT entry- level, our postings may not be the best job search method. Please contact the Career Center for other suggestions. To access our job bulletin, you must first register with Hiram CareerNet, our online resume and job posting database. Read the eRecruiting Instructions to the right, register, and complete the profile, and you can view our job postings as well as posting from other schools, post your resume in our online database and check our Calendar of Events. No special password required!
Need career advice? Depending on your career needs, the Career Center welcomes the opportunity to help you with your career transition. If you want to brainstorm career ideas, review your transferable skills, or talk about your goals, contact the Career Center. However, some of you may need more specialized resources if you have quite a bit of experience. We may need to refer you to additional services or suggest other job search strategies.
Alumni Career Network
All alumni are encouraged to participate in the Alumni Career Network. Here are some ways your participation in the network can help:
- Talk to a student(s) about career choices.
- Identify potential jobs, internships, or host a student for job shadowing.
- Particpate in on-campus events like alumni panels, practice interviews, or senior kick-off events.
By joining the Alumni Career Network, you help the Career Center by sharing your expertise with current students who may have the same interests you do or who may be exploring your career field. To register with the Alumni Career Network and help current students, send an e-mail to careercenter@hiram.edu. We will assign a username and password and reply with instructions to help you complete the profile.
The Alumni Career Network has existed for about ten years -- you may have submitted career information on paper in the past. To move your profile online -- which we cannot do without your permission and without updating your file -- just follow the instructions above, and we'll get right back to you.
Alumni directory
PLEASE keep your personal and employment information current in the Alumni Directory (this is the database maintained by the Alumni Office). Changes made in one directory do not automatically update the other -- so remember to update both! Thanks for all your support.
