Using these links, answer these questions to get your career planning off to a good start!
- One way to explore careers is to start with a major first. Start with the page where you can explore majors. Using Major WebLinks or one of the other research links, choose a major that you are considering and find two careers that this major would prepare you for.
- You can also explore majors and careers by your interests. Try the Career Zone to see how your interests can lead to careers. Choose Assess Yourself from the top menu; run your cursor around the terms to choose your top three preferences. Write down your three letter interest pattern code in case you need it again. List three careers where people will share your interests.
- Now go to Research Careers. Taking one of the careers you just choose, use Spotlight on Careersfrom our research site or another link to learn more about it.
- Where do you go to declare your major?
- Return to the Career Center website and click on Internships Create your own student account in Hiram CareerNet ; write your username and password on your scavenger hunt and search through some internships to see what is available.
