Celebrating Excellence

Celebrating Excellence at Hiram represents the culmination of a weeks activities. The celebration begins on Wednesday , April 23 with the History Departments Honor Society induction followed by a variety of departmental award presentations and celebrations. On Monday, April 28, many academic departmental celebrations, as well as the Excellence in Leadership & Involvement awards ceremony, will occur beginning at 4:00 p.m. (classes will end at 4:00 p.m. and you should check with your academic department for details). The Hiram College Honors Recognition Program will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Hayden Auditorium followed by an all-campus dessert reception on the Martin Common at 7:30 p.m. The Music Department Spring Honors Recital in Hayden Auditorium and the Excellence in Leadership awards on the Martin Common (Rain location Pritchard Room) at 8:00 p.m. will conclude the primary events. Additional deparment awards and celebrations will continue through the end of the academic year. All students and guests are welcome to attend all of these events. A special dinner for Senior Alpha Society members and their parents will be held on Monday April 28th in Dix Dining Hall at 5:30 pm. All student members of Alpha Society are guests of the college. Parents have received invitations and reservations can be made by contacting the Special Events office on 330-569-5900.
