The Garfield Institute for Public Leadership presents the fall seminar: "National Security and the Environment: Confrontation to Convergence," featuring Leon Fuerth. Fuerth is former national security advisor to Vice President Al Gore. Panelists include: Leon Fuerth; Terry Flannery, former manager with the CIA on weapons, antisubmarine warfare, arms control, and environmental issues and is currently an intelligence consultant with Applied Signals Technology; Stephen Zabor, Hiram College Professor of Economics and Environmental Studies; Michael Benedict, Hiram College Professor of Environmental Studies; 4:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. Panel Discussion Alumni Heritage Room - Teachout-Price Hall Hiram College 6:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. Reception Ballroom - Kennedy Center 7:15 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Dinner, followed by keynote address Ballroom - Kennedy Center (R.S.V.P. to Kathy at luschekk@hiram.edu or 330.569.6118.
