Frequently asked questions
What do I do if I have an injury in the off-season? Who should I contact in the off-season?
Any time you sustain an injury that affects your athletic performance you should contact one of the staff Athletic Trainers to schedule an appointment for evaluation and treatment. The Athletic Training room is available to student-athletes during the academic year when classes are in session. During scheduled breaks availability is limited to times when in-season team practices and events are scheduled.
What should I do if I have an injury during the summer? Who should I contact during the summer?
Any time you sustain an injury that affects your athletic performance you should contact one of the staff Athletic Trainers and your coach. While we do not have scheduled summer hours in the Athletic Training facility we are available for consultation on how to best care for your injury.
What do I do if I do not have insurance?
Hiram College requires that all students have adequate insurance which covers athletic related injuries. If you do not have personal insurance through your parents/guardians or yourself, then you should enroll in the Hiram College Student Insurance plan which does have a provision to cover athletic related injuries.
