Campus Visits and Open Houses

There are two great ways to visit Hiram College. You may choose a group visit, such as an open house or overnight visit, or a personalized visit set up just for you.

Do you need directions to Hiram? We are in the middle of everywhere, so getting here is very easy.

Individual Visits

The Hiram College commitment to you as an individual starts with your campus visit. We will work with you to plan a visit tailored to your interests. On your visit, you may tour the campus with a current student, meet with your admission counselor, attend a class, meet with a coach, speak with a faculty member, and explore the James H. Barrow Field Station. Before you schedule your appointment, take time to think about what you'd like to do while you're here.

The Office of Admission regularly schedules appointments during normal business hours on weekdays. Please contact Ms. Carol Milani, our campus visit coordinator, at 800.362.5280, by email, or by completing an online request for an individual visit one week prior to your desired visit date.

Overnight visits may also be arranged for most evenings throughout the academic year. If you have other interests, please be sure to let us know.

Special Programs

Several times a year we invite families to visit campus as a group.  These programs are a great way to meet other prospective students and to investigate Hiram College further.  Below are our upcoming programs. We look forward to seeing you.

Saturday Group Visits (September through May)

A small group visit and campus tour are available most Saturday mornings throughout the academic year. The session begins at 9:00 am with a presentation by an admission counselor followed by a tour of campus.  For student-athletes a session will be held at 11:00 am so that we can cover what you need to know about Hiram College in addition to sports related information.  To schedule your Saturday visit at least 48 hours in advance, please contact Ms. Carol Milani, our campus visit coordinator, at 800.362.5280, by email, or by filling out an online visit request at least one week prior to your desired visit date.

A Note to Prospective Students Visiting Campus

Hiram College encourages students and their families to visit our campus throughout the college selection process. We do wish to remind our prospective students that as our guests they are members of the Hiram College Community for the duration of their stay. Visiting prospective students are expected to adhere to the same guidelines and policies as outlined our Hiram College Student Handbook. Any violations or infractions of our student policies by visiting prospective students may be cause for either denial of admission to Hiram or a rescission of an offer of admission to Hiram, even after a prospective student has declared his or her intention to enroll and paid a commitment deposit.

Hiram College expects our prospective students to represent themselves and their backgrounds accurately, completely and honestly. Any falsification, omission or misrepresentation of information presented to Hiram College may be cause for either denial of admission to Hiram or a rescission of an offer of admission to Hiram, even after a prospective student has declared his or her intention to enroll and paid a commitment deposit. This would include information related to any forms and any supporting credentials, and any verbal or written communication with Hiram College staff.
