Admission requirements for our bachelor’s degree completion programs may differ depending on your status as a student. Take a look below to learn more about the requirements that apply to you.
GPA requirements that apply to all students:
- 2.5 overall GPA
- Earn a minimum 2.5 overall GPA in major courses
Requirements for Degree-Seeking Transfer Students
Along with meeting the GPA requirements, you must submit an application and your transcripts from every postsecondary institution where you’ve completed course work.
Requirements for Degree-Seeking Readmission Students
If you have not maintained active enrollment at Hiram for two or more consecutive semesters, not including the summer session, you must apply for readmission. This includes filling out the readmission application, submitting transcripts from institutions where you’ve completed course work, meeting GPA requirements, being in good academic standing and not having an outstanding balance or judicial affairs ruling which would bar readmission.
Typically, degree requirements go into effect when you enter Hiram College and remain in effect for a five-year period from your date of entrance. However, after an absence from the College of one year or more, you may be required to continue under different graduation requirements. Moreover, any special arrangements for meeting the degree requirements may be withdrawn after a five-year period.
Requirements for Degree-Seeking Students Not Enrolled at One of Our Partner Institutions
In addition to meeting the GPA requirements, you’ll also need to have completed your associate degree or a minimum of 60 semester hours of credit at another institution.
Requirements for Non-Degree-Seeking Students
If you’re hoping to attend Hiram College for personal fulfillment, to take classes you can transfer to your home institution, to pursue or maintain licensure or to seek endorsements, you must apply for admission.
Dual Enrollment Option
If you wish to dual enroll, you must meet the GPA requirements and have successfully completed a minimum of 50 percent of your associate degree course work. This includes all prerequisite course work for the degree completion program.
