Scholarships and Grants
Announcing New Merit Scholarships for Fall 2010
Hiram College created a new scholarship program for entering students in the fall of 2010 that serves to recognize academic achievement and help students and families who deserve a private college education during a time of economic uncertainty. Our new scholarship program recognizes academic achievement and hard work based upon GPA and standardized test scores, and is blind to financial need.
The 2010-2011 scholarship levels are:
| Annual award | Name | Criteria |
| $15,000 | Dean’s Scholarship | 3.7 GPA and a 26 ACT or 1200 SAT |
| $12,000 | Heritage Scholarship | 3.4 GPA and a 22 ACT or 1000 SAT |
| $10,000 | Hiram Scholarship | 3.0 GPA and a 20 ACT or 900 SAT |
| $10,000 | Transfer Scholarship | 2.5 GPA with 12 completed transfer hours |
| $13,000 | Phi Theta Kappa | Membership in Phi Theta Kappa |
Note: the SAT score criteria are based upon the combined critical reading and math scores.
In addition to our merit scholarships, Hiram also awards grants of varying amounts if you are the child or grandchild of a Hiram graduate, if your sibling will attend Hiram at the same time you will, you are a member of the Disciples of Christ Church or if you are a resident outside of Ohio.
