Registrar News

Many of our most frequently used forms can now be found on this website!

To Register for courses:

  • Log into Web4Student
  • Click on “Student Services”
  • Click on “Registration”
  • Click on “Add/Drop Classes”

From there you will be instructed to enter the Alternate Pin you received from your advisor.

The class schedule can be found at my.hiram.edu. Click on “Class Schedule” and select “Fall 2017” from the first drop-down menu.

Make sure you have the course CRN numbers (found on the class schedule) ready to enter into the system to add the courses. If you are adding a course with a lab, make sure you add them both together or you will receive an error message.

If needed, Add/Drop/Swap Slips can be picked up at the Registrar’s office.

After registration, review your schedule and double-check for errors.

Please be aware that at 8:00 a.m. the network server will get hit pretty hard with everyone logging, so please be patient with the site.

All Traditional Students must register for the entire 15-week semester (12-week + 3-week) by the end of the second week of the semester.  Prior to the start of traditional classes, students may register online for both 12- and 3-week classes.  Once the semester begins, however, students can only add courses via instructor and/or Associate Dean signed add slips.  There is no administrative fee to add a course (12-week or 3-week) during the first two weeks of the semester.  Click here for full add/drop policy

Students must carry at least 12 credit hours each semester (12-week + 3-week) to maintain full-time status.  However, in order to graduate in four years, it is highly recommended that students earn an average of 15 credits per semester.  Tuition is charged for 12-18 hours per semester. “W” courses count in this overall semester hour determination.  Extra hour charges will be billed for hours less than 12 or more than 18.  Students who wish to enroll in 21 hours or more must seek approval from the College Dean.

New students enrolled in a Freshman Colloquium, Freshman Seminar, Writing Seminar, WRIT 10400, WRIT 10500 or WRIT 10510 cannot drop their course via Web4Students. Please contact your advisor for any schedule adjustments

All traditional students are required to engage in one 3-4 credit hour course or an approved equivalent course block during the 3-week session in each semester they are enrolled at Hiram.  Students must receive written permission by the Associate Dean of the College (written on an add slip provided by the Registrar’s Office) to register for more than four semester hours during the 3-week.

Students must be registered for courses in order to attend courses.  Students not registered by January 22nd for a 12-week course or by April 22nd for a 3-week course, and found to be attending courses will be instructed to leave the classroom by the instructor. Failure to leave will result in removal from the classroom and legal or judicial action for disruption.
