Children ages 5-10 can participate in two-day camps on special topics at Hiram College's James H. Barrow Field Station.
Fairy Houses: June 16, 17, 2015, from 9 a.m. to noon
Children will listen to stories about fairy houses, discover the magical properties of herbs and learn some fairy lore. On the first day, they will gather materials and build a fairy house in the Field Station forest. The second day, the children will construct a fairy garden to take home.
Turtles and Frogs and Snakes, Oh My!: June 30, July 1, 2015, from 9 a.m. to noon
Children will study the life cycles, behaviors and facts about turtles, snakes, salamanders, toads and frogs. Expect hands-on experiences and explorations as we learn how to care for these animals and where to find them.
