The Northwoods Experience
Begin your Hiram Adventure here!
Hiram College’s Northwoods Field Station and the surrounding beauty of northern Michigan’s remote wilderness provide a magnificent setting to begin your own Hiram experience.
The Northwoods Experience is a six-day adventure at Hiram’s Hiawatha Campus in northern Michigan. The goal is to enjoy the beauty of nature and build a sense of community with your future Hiram College classmates.
During our stay, we will immerse ourselves in the vast wilderness in and around the College’s rustic camp. Days will be filled canoeing, kayaking, hiking, swimming and reflecting. Field trips to stunning sandstone cliffs of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and crystal clear waters of Lake Superior are included!
Dates: August 21-26, 2015
Participants will move in to their residence hall August 21 and the adventure begins that evening as we depart Hiram for the wilderness of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We will return the evening of August 26, just in time to rest before New-Student Institute begins.
Cost: $435 (includes lodging, all food, field trip fees, and transportation)
